The museum has the form of a small open-air museum, which consists of a historic cottage, a barn and a forge. A wooden house, dating from 1920, in its chamber you can see a “damn stove” and other elements of traditional furnishings of a highland house. In the hall, which divides the house into two parts, the place was found agricultural tools and — necessary in these areas during the winter season — skis, or “skize”.

In the second chamber, an exhibition of equipment used in this area for weaving or herding was prepared. In the 1930s barn all sorts of former machinery and farm equipment were assembled.

The museum hosts:

  • exhibitions of non-professional creativity
  • exhibitions presenting highland customs and rites
  • educational workshops
  • lectures on the former way of life of the Highlanders, their culture, customs and attire
