The Tristyk is the place of junction of three borders: Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic.
Three poles of two meters high stand here, made of light gray granite, with the names of three states. The Beskid Tristik was established in 1993, after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. The very point of confluence of the three boundaries is located in the stream bed over which we can pass with a small bridge.
In this area, in three countries, there are three villages. Next to Polish Jaworzynka, these are: on the Slovak side of Czerne and the small town of Herceava in the Czech Republic. Herceava was once part of Jaworzynka and after the division of Cieszyn Silesia in 1920 fell to Poland, however, at the request of the inhabitants, in 1924 the League of Nations granted Herczawa to Czechoslovakia.
The Tristyk is located in a very nice place, among the low elevations of the southern part of the Silesian Beskids. From the Polish side there is a comfortable walkway, and benches and gazebos have been placed around this place. The access from Jaworzynka to the point of contact of the three borders takes about 10-15 minutes along the green trail.
